Leigh Childs is just finishing up her 24th year in public education. Mrs. Childs holds a Bachelor’s in Science in Elementary Education and a Master’s Degree in Special Education from the State University of New York College at Plattsburgh along with an Educational Leadership Certificate from the Region IV School Administrator program in Houston, Texas. She spent her first 17 years as a special education teacher specializing in co-teaching, behavior and autism. As an administrator, she moved from Instructional Coordinator to Assistant Principal in Katy, Texas. As a new transplant to New Hampshire, Mrs. Childs is entering her 2nd year as the Special Education Coordinator for Kindergarten through 8th grade and has enjoyed getting to know the Pembroke Community and families. Her favorite part of New Hampshire so far is the beautiful fall season and the proximity to the mountains, ocean and Boston.
