Hi! My name is Caitlin Powers. I have been a teacher here at Pembroke Hill School since 2014. I was hired as a 1:1 Special Education teacher, and am now the Student Support/Behavior Teacher. In 2010, I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Elementary Education from Western New England University in Springfield, MA. I played collegiate basketball for WNEU all four years of college. After my undergraduate, I took a year off from school to recover from knee surgery and substitute teach in a variety of inner city schools in Schenectady, NY, near where I grew up. Then I moved to NH to pursue my Master of Education degree in Learning Disabilities and Reading from Rivier University, graduating in 2014. I truly enjoy working with my students, even on the most difficult days. I love my job and truly believe that as educators we learn something new everyday whether it be from our students or colleagues, and that is a wonderful feeling.
When I am not educating young minds, I enjoy spending time with my fiance and our two dogs, Rocky and Ty. I love outdoor activities, including hiking, skiing, kayaking, fishing, going to the beach, etc. I also like to stay competitive and play in various basketball and softball leagues. I get to share my passion for sports with my athletes as the JV Softball coach at Pembroke Academy.
