Guidance

The focus of the guidance program is to foster healthy social/emotional well being, and academic success.  The success of all students is ensured through individual, small group and whole class activities.  The classroom guidance curriculum focuses on building empathy, teaching tolerance, creating positive relationships and problem solving skills.

Parents, as well as students, are encouraged to contact the School Counselor should a need arise.  The Counselor is available concerning any issue deemed connected to the student's well being and academic success at Hill School.

Different events can occur that impact on student performance.  Please do not hesitate to call if your child is having difficulty adjusting to school or there are outside factors that could impact their school day.  Parental input is valued and a necessary part of finding effective solutions.
